Over $15,000 invested in frame off restoration, stored inside most of the time. The car was completely disassembled, the frame, axles, inner fenders, and radiator support were media blasted, cleaned and powder coated, the frame cleaned and painted. All u-joints, upper and lower ball joints, idler arms, tie rods, ring and pinion, rear axle bearings as well as the differential carrier bearings were replaced. It has the original blue interior except for the carpet which was replaced. The tuned port was installed from an ‘87 Camaro, it came with the wiring harness and computer which was mated to the Caprice. More pictures available on request.
The car was professionally appraised in September 2019 at $7100.

Good thing you’re over 2,000 miles away. The gravitational pull of the Donk Community is pretty strong, especially for anything within 1,000 miles from Atlanta or Houston :D

I like it, and I know that he invested a lot in to it, but $ 6k for an ‘85 Caprice? Are they appreciating now?

That’s a 35 year old car, it’s a classic. And I’m getting old.
